Meet Our Attorneys

Experienced Tampa Attorneys

The seeds of our law firm were sown when Wendy DePaul and Jeanine Cohen became law school roommates at Stetson University College of Law. After becoming attorneys in 1997 they practiced law separately before coming together once again in 2004 to form Cohen & DePaul, P.A., More recently, they invited attorney Adam Bantner to join the law firm in 2009.

At our law firm, each attorney brings a different set of experience and talents to the area of law in which they practice. Together, Cohen & DePaul is a legal team you can trust to help you make informed decisions.

Jeanine Cohen spent much of her early career as a public defender. She was the first attorney to argue an involuntary civil commitment of sexually violent predator issue to the Florida Supreme Court, and she won. In addition to her extensive trial background, Jeanine is responsible for two Florida Supreme Court opinions and several DCA opinions. She believes in fighting meritorious issues all the way to the top.

Wendy DePaul became a licensed Certified Public Accountant prior to entering law school. Since becoming an attorney, she has handled a great many bankruptcy and foreclosure cases throughout the state of Florida including Chapter 7 (liquidation), Chapter 13 (reorganization) and Chapter 11 (business reorganization) bankruptcies.

Adam Bantner began his legal career as a Public Defender in Orlando, Florida. In that position he handled hundreds of cases ranging from traffic offenses to crimes punishable by life in prison. Lately, he has turned his litigation experience into the area of family law in addition to criminal defense.
